Converting slides to DVD can be an easy process. The first step is to convert slides to a digital format using a digital slide scanner. Once you convert slides to digital, it is then very easy to transfer slides to DVD. There are many available DVD authoring programs to convert your slides to DVD. Often, slides to DVD programs will use terms such as “make slideshow” or “create slideshow”. Once you select this option, you can then instruct the program which images you wish to add to your DVD’s slideshow. Other options will also be available to you, such as the length slides are displayed for, transition effects, and so forth.
If you have already converted slides to digital, they will be in a standard format such as jpeg or tiff. Most slides to DVD programs support these formats, meaning you can add your scanned slides easily and quickly in amongst other pictures. This could be useful if you wish to do a comparison, for example compare old slides with new slides, or position old birthday photos against new birthday photos.
Once you have selected the slides you like, and configured the other options, you can then burn slides to DVD. This will allow your slideshow to be viewed using any standard DVD player, just like a normal DVD movie. These days, it is very easy to convert slides to DVD.
